I knew it would be hard for me to keep a blog. I mean for cryin' out loud, I barely have time to think in between the baby, the husband, the job, the dog, the house, the bike. It's exhausting just typing about it.
Boston was great though. Maribeth hasn't changed. She's still foxy as ever, fit, funny, smart. We rode all over that city on bikes. Riding bikes in Boston is crazy. There are no rules. If there are rules, nobody bothers to follow them. Crazy thing is that it all works somehow. I mean we are merging across three lanes of busy traffic and it just flows. You just take your space and go with it and assume everybody else sees your line as yours and just keep pedaling. Anybody attempting this in Seattle would end up damaged goods.
Boston highlights (besides just being with MB)- JP Licks ice cream, Zatfigs, ice cold Sam Adams, the Freedom Trail, MIT campus tour at 1:00 am complete with a tenor rendition of Ave Maria, firemen giving directions, Italian waiters calling us *baby* and *beautiful*, and that beautiful thick east coast accent. I love it!
I wish I had brought a camera!
(and yes, I missed my family so much, but the break was nice)
